Motor Skills
One of the eight Assembly Dimensions. It covers your child's physical skills: big movements like running and balance, and small ones like writing and doing up buttons.
Applies across the UK
This dimension is split into two groups of questions, "Gross motor" and "Fine Motor". Gross motor is about the whole body, such as balance, strength and coordination. Fine motor is about the hands, such as handwriting, cutlery and fastenings.
Motor skills often go unnoticed because they show up as a child avoiding an activity rather than complaining about it.
